Download and Install Python with Anaconda This page is a summary of the material covered at the workshop led by Brian Freitag and Andrew White. This is not meant to be a comprehensive installation manual for Python, but rather a loose guide on how to install a local python installation using the anaconda platform. Aug 30, 2017 This video will show you how to set Windows environment variables for Python. You can use this method to set Environment variables not just for Python anaconda.
This problem isn't common enough to include in the install instructions, so I'm going to put this in the FAQ on '.How do I move Anaconda from one directory to another?. Anaconda needs to be installed in the directory in which you want it to work. So to put Anaconda in a different directory, delete it from the old directory, go to the new directory and install it there using the bash command: bash Anaconda-2.x.x-Linux-x8664.sh Note: Replace the 2.x.x-Linux-x8664 with the actual name of the file.' This will be in tdocs next Tuesday for review, live next Thursday around 8:30 am. Kerry On Fri, Feb 27, 2015 at 8:35 AM, Kerry Watson wrote: Got it Carlos, thanks. I copied Anaconda from her Mac to my Mac (which has a different $USER) in hopes to 'simply' change the PATH variables around. Unfortunately, her '/Users/$USER/' is hard coded into dozens of the lib and configuration files.

Is it possible to 're-install' anaconda from an existing installation without downloading the source? Grep & sed have occurred to me, but I would rather hope that there is a built in structure for this. Note that she downloaded the source from the US and deleted it before we moved here. Not possible in some production settings where there is no connectivity to the internet. If you do this and then run into any bugs, please be clear that you did this when you report such a bug as the cause is likely that you relocated your installation like this.

Mv $HOME/anaconda3 $HOME/anaconda3back ln -s /usr/local/anaconda3 $HOME/anaconda3 Testing: $ python Python 3.6.5 Anaconda, Inc. (default, Apr 29 2018, 16:14:56) GCC 7.2.0 on linux Type 'help', 'copyright', 'credits' or 'license' for more information. import tensorflow as tf Remove the backup: rm -rf $HOME/anaconda3back.
